Fun and Learning with the PlanToys Balancing Scale

I love toys with no instructions.  There’s nothing more exciting than opening a box and finding a gorgeous open-ended toy that allows the kiddos and I to get creative.  For this reason, I love PlanToys.  While technically most of their toys do come with some sort of instruction {especially the ones requiring assembly}, you really … Read more

Mamas & Papas Gingerbread Knitted Blanket {Review}

My daughter completely overestimates my ability to turn yarn into something pretty.  Although I can crochet {a little}, I certainly am not going to be making blankets, hats, or sweaters any time soon.  Yet, every time we go to the craft store, she likes to load up our cart when I’m not looking with yarn … Read more

The Children’s Place holiday 2012 preview NYC event

We love The Children’s Place and are very lucky to be surrounded by numerous store locations so we can pop in frequently to see what’s new for the season.  But, this year I got a bit of a sneak peak of the holiday line while in BlogHer and it was adorable.

Entertain Beautifully with Wendell August Waterfall Chip & Dip Set

Why does it seem that food tastes better when it’s displayed on beautiful serving pieces?  It can’t just be me that has noticed that the most gorgeous serving pieces are usually empty first or that the manner in which you serve food has a lot to do with how that food is perceived.  I’ve experimented … Read more
