Update those winter wardrobes with Carter’s Babies and Kids #SpringIntoCarters

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Carter’s. I received a complimentary gift card to facilitate my review and thank me for my participation #SpringIntoCarters

Spring is finally here in the Pacific Northwest and that means we're purging our bulky sweaters and looking for bright colors and warmer weather wear. But, while I can wear most of my clothes from last spring {hooray for not being pregnant anymore!}, the kids have grown so much that shopping is a necessity, which I'm not going to complain about now that I've got a new little one to shop for as well. Carter's spring outfitsNaturally, I turned to the company that I've relied on to outfit my kids since they were born: Carter's Babies and Kids. I absolutely love shopping at my local Carter's store because every season it is restocked with an awesome mix of adorable, cute, hip, practical, and truly fun pieces for newborn on up to kids size 12.

SoFabU On The Road comes to Seattle next month {early bird pricing ends 3/18}

Sponsored postI can’t tell you how disappointed I was last year when everyone was posting how much fun they were having at SoFabCon and I couldn’t swing it to attend. But, with it being on Mother’s Day weekend, which is already jam packed for us, and taking place all the way in Arkansas, at least I had a good reason for not attending.

This year, however, I am definitely going to make it as I can’t wait to connect with the SoFab team as they hit the road. With some of my favorite bloggers and brands set to attend, you can bet I’m excited that there’s a stop here in Seattle next month so I can attend without having to figure out airfare and hotels as well as childcare.  SoFab on the road

No time for car maintenance? #DropShopAndOil makes car care easy

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #DropShopAndOil #CollectiveBias Car care easy with PennzoilIf you saw under the hood of my car, you would never believe it is 15+ years old. This isn’t just luck, I’ve got a secret weapon on my side when it comes to taking care of my car: Regular maintenance. This may sound too simple to be considered a secret, but you would be surprised how many people neglect regular maintenance and then wonder why their engine parts are failing after only a few years.

Dine at home with Foster Farms

Sponsored post basic disclosure
Diner quallity crispy chicken at homeIt wasn’t that long ago that I thought all frozen chicken you could buy at a store was more or less the same. Dip those suckers in ranch and the kids will eat them up, so why bother shopping around? Just grab whatever is on sale and call it good.

But then I decided to give Foster Farms Crispy Strips a try, and I realized that there actually was something to the “amazing chicken” as they claim in their recent ad campaigns. You know the ones that feature chickens clucking along to the catchiest songs known to man? Not surprisingly, my kiddos are seriously obsessed with these commercials, so I’ve been forced to watch these more times than I care to admit, sometimes on repeat.

Holiday shopping made easy at Northgate Mall in Seattle

Sponsored postEvery year I swear that the holidays sneak up on me, but this year it definitely is true. With vacations, a crazy amount of doctors appointments, and all the hooplah that having children in two different schools can bring, it seems like fall just flew by. I know I'm not the only one because my Facebook feed is filled with friends lamenting the fact that they have but one or two presents purchased and no idea what to get everyone else on their list.

Hey friend, why don't you head to Northgate Mall and cross off everyone all at once? With three major department stores, a food court, a play area, and over 130 stores to choose from, it's easy to find something for everyone on your list. I envy those people who can seemingly shop for everyone they know in one afternoon, but I can totally see doing just that if I was left kidless and husbandless at Northgate Mall for a few hours so I could sneak presents for them while shopping for extended family and friends. Shopping Best Buy for the latest cameras and camcorders

Sponsored postI may not be the expert on designer handbags or power tools, but I can hold my own when talking about cameras. With a fine arts degree in photography and lots of experience with different camera brands, I am the person family and friends come to when they are looking to purchase or upgrade their camera equipment.

Back in the days before Google, I was the one everyone brought to Best Buy to help them find the perfect camera or camcorder for their needs. And, even now with Google on every phone and thousands of online reviews at your fingertips, sometimes you just need someone who can help you navigate so many options and guide you through playing with rows and rows of name brand cameras in a place where the sales staff is always willing to let you play with everything. Holiday Tree 2014_7And, when you think of it, buying a camera or camcorder is a really big deal. You are trusting that camera with your precious memories, and it makes sense that you would want one that has all the features you need and even some to grow into.

This year my new favorite feature is built-in Wi-Fi since everything is electronic these days and waiting until you are home at your computer before connecting, downloading, and then sharing your images online just seems so clunky. These three featured cameras from Nikon, Sony and Samsung come equipped with Wi-Fi so you can share amazing photos with ease. Upgrade now and you can share those holiday pictures with family and friends near and far easily.

PIctures on GoldSo, when Pictures on Gold asked us if we wanted to create another special piece for the holiday, we couldn't say yes fast enough. We all decided that the new baby needed a special necklace just for her that would match her sister and we got to work making a locket for her.

Stuff their stockings with kid-friendly nail polishes from Piggy Paint

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #PamperedPiggies #CollectiveBiasPIggy Paint stocking stufferMy daughter wasn’t even two years old before she started asking for nail polish. With the urgency many kids would request toys or candy, she requested “pretty nails”, but I refused to give in because I was worried about what was in those nail colors she coveted so much. As you can imagine, we were both thrilled when we found Piggy Paint, a company that makes kid-friendly nail polishes that are non-toxic and hypoallergenic for my little fashionista. Piggy Paint paintingPiggy Paint is a water–based nail polish specially formulated for kids that contains no toxic chemicals or yucky stuff. Just like the adult versions, Piggy Paint comes in a rainbow of vibrant colors. It’s free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, Bisphenol A, ethyl acetate and acetone that is in other polishes, which makes it my favorite pick for my daughter.  Piggy Paint collection

Getting ready for the holidays? Don’t forget the batteries! {with printable coupons}

Sponsored postYou know what's a big bummer? Opening presents Christmas day and realizing that the amazing toy your kiddo has been waiting for all.year.long needs batteries you don't have on hand. Also a bummer: Realizing that there is absolutely no stores open on Christmas day to go get those batteries. 6a0105362badb1970b01a73df8d1ea970d-800wiSo, here's a mom tip for you: Buy those batteries now, instead of waiting.

Pick up a few packages of Rayovac batteries when you're out Christmas shopping and either put them in the stockings or in the gift packages themselves. It may not be the most exciting thing they receive that morning, but a stocking stuffed with batteries is certainly better then possibly forgetting to pick up any at all and seeing disappointed faces come Christmas morning.
