Matching Girls Monday: shopping girls

shopping with matching clothes

Summer time cute with Hanna Andersson mermaid shirts, white Salt-Water Sandals, Minnie Mouse jean shorts from Kohl’s {bought for our Disney World trip last year}, and light silver sweaters from H&M. This was clearly before the Seattle heatwave that has rendered sweaters unwearable. Or, as I like to call them “the good old days”.Want to know … Read more

Matching Girls Monday: hello, summer!

Matching girls in Gymboree

I remember the glorious summer days of my youth spent pedaling around the neighborhood from morning until night. Days spent running from house to house and only stopping home to eat and grab swimsuits. I’m trying to give my kids a similar summer, and that means little or no scheduling is going on. Sports and activities … Read more

Matching Girls Monday: remembering the beginning

DSC05443This is my matching girls in one of my absolute favorite matching outfits they have ever owned. This was the second matching outfit set I ever bought them during a Gymboree campaign, and it's admittedly getting a little small for both, but we love it so much that we just can't retire it yet. Girls in Gymboree dresses 2

Strengthening the sibling bond with Disney•Pixar’s Cars 3

All opinions are mine alone. #UltimatePitStop #CollectiveBiasDisney Pixar Cars worldAround here it’s been a mini construction zone for days. The kiddos have been busy repurposing toys, household items, and art supplies to create a little world for them to play in. This may look like any old kids’ project, but for them, and for our family, this isn’t just child’s play or a random assortment of things – this is how the siblings bond using Disney•Pixar’s Cars 3.

If you know my older kids, you know they are exceptionally close, despite being different genders and over two years apart in age. They play together happily for hours and hours each day and for the most part agree on toys, activities, and things they enjoy. But, there has been one activity they have disagreed on since my son was old enough to communicate.

Matching Girls Monday: stripes and smiles

My little matching girls wear these cute little dresses from Hanna Andersson at least a few times a month. So much so that they are one of the very few items that both girls have taken turns staining. I could freak out and start some serious stain removal, but honestly, it will probably get stained as soon as I get out the old marks.

Matching Girls Monday: my little redheads

Girls Gymboree hugIt's hard to see in pictures, but my little one has the most beautiful strawberry blonde hair. My oldest and I would love to be redheads {sadly, my red isn't au natural… I only have reddish tones in my hair}, so this spring we decided to dye our hair together. Girls Gymboree piggyback 2

Matching Girls Monday: lake time with my girls

Matching girls Hanna Andersson dresses Affiliate linksSisters are special to me. As someone with 3 sisters of my own that I've always been close with, I always wanted girls of my own one day. So, these two? They are a dream come true. Matching Girls HAThe love these two share is immeasurable, and I love watching them explore and play together everywhere we go. My oldest loves being able to teach her sister all about the world around her, and my youngest adores everything about her sister. These two are already such great friends.

Where we were: Sunday in Fremont

Fremont is one of my favorite places on earth, and it was so great too get back there now that spring has officially sprung. We love walking along the Burke-Gilman trail and watching the boats go by, seeing the draw bridge go up and down, and picking wildflowers to add to any bouquets we buy … Read more

Matching Girls Monday: Mother’s Day Edition

Happy Mother's DayIn honor of Mother's Day this week, the girls and I were rocking the matching Mommy-and-Me plaid. I had been stashing these shirts away waiting for a day to surprise my girls, and Mother's Day seemed like as good of day as any. You should have heard the squealing that ensued when I brought them out of my closet and presented them to my daughters.
