Big things are happening at Rave & Review

A few days ago we made our big announcement on Facebook and wanted to announce it here as well.  That's right, in just a few short months we will be welcoming baby #3. Hello, party of 5. Goodbye, compact sedan.

This has felt like the fastest pregnancy ever so far, but I will likely be singing a very different tune come December. I imagine the last month is going to drag by with all the Christmas craziness and I'm exhausted beyond belief, so I'm just going to enjoy the fact that I still have a good amount of energy to expend each day.

So, everyone wants to know: are the kiddos excited for their little sister to arrive? I could tell you how they lovingly kiss my belly a few thousand times a day, or all the sweet things they say to me about all the things they can't wait to do with their baby, but I think these pictures say it all. These kids were clearly made to be big siblings.

They have been practicing with their Corolle babies for years now {pictured: the Corolle Mon Bebe Classique Sky Baby Doll} and begging for a real baby of their own for as long as I can remember. One of my favorite stories is the time we took our then-2-year-old son to meet a friend's new baby and he was immediately in love. At one point he said to me, "Hurry and put him in your belly and let's go." We've been around babies a ton, including the aforementioned baby whose mom was not completely freaked out that my son wanted to steal him, and I think he gets it. But, this girl? She definitely gets it. Yeah, that's a fake cell phone, a play purse from my mom, two beloved baby dolls from the Corolle Mon Premier line, and my old doll stroller she's rocking. She's going to have no problem adjusting to her new role as big sister of two. Aren't these Corolle pics adorable? They were totally my kids' idea to take some pictures of them with their babies like a real family photo shoot. I have a hundred more pics where these came from and would have a few hundred more if we hadn't been rained out during a freak summer storm that came out of nowhere.     

In some ways I want January to hurry up and get here so I can meet our little girl. But, in some ways, I'm really enjoying these last few months with these two and planning our new addition. We're going to take this time to do a few last little trips around the Pacific Northwest as well as take one last HUGE trip as a family of four {more on that later} and spend some time nesting in preparation for our new arrival.

Life is very good.
