The Land of Nod Seattle celebrates their Grand Re-Opening Bash

Oh, how I love The Land of Nod. It's always the first store we turn to when we're shopping for kids of all ages because they have a great mix of eclectic, classic, and modern styles. We've shopped there for just about every birthday, major holiday, and room redo over the past 8 years, and we've become big fans of everything from their toys to their storage solutions and more.

But, a few weeks ago we were walking around U Village shopping center in Seattle on a mission to hit all our favorite stores and enjoy some sunshine and panic set in when the entire store looked dark and empty. We had hoped to do some shopping for my brand new baby nephew, with a few peeks over into the baby bedding for our baby on the way, so the idea of the store being closed was incredibly sad to us.

We were all relieved to find that the store wasn't closing, it was simply being remodeled, and would be back even better than ever. In fact, a few weeks later we got the word that the grand reopening was scheduled and it was going to be amazing.

We didn't go home with this huge bear, even though my son tried really hard to convince us it would be perfect for him… or our nephew… or our baby.  We happily did some shopping even though their stock was reduced for the remodel, and of course found quite a few things we couldn't pass up. On the way out we took some pictures by The Land of Nod construction blockade because we can't resist a good photo op. Well now we are even more excited because the new store has been unveiled. Last weekend they celebrated their grand reopening birthday bash and showed off the new store in a big way. There were balloon animals made to order. Cupcakes from Trophy Cupcakes and Party, crafts, and face paints from the coolest face painter EVER, who didn't mind a bit that my son had a very specific request that included multiple design elements. But, beyond the actual event itself, I was really excited to get to shop the store and see everything new at the Seattle location. Instead of their segmented floor plan that has different rooms set up for each category they stock, they now have a much more open plan with signs designating the different sections.

Everything from storage for playroom and bedroom.To bedroom decor and artwork.And nursery items. Along with new desks and school items. And we did a little fun toy shopping. This did come home with us. The boy, and the construction hat. Then we rounded off our day with a concert from one of our favorite kids rock artists, Caspar Babypants. If you're in the Seattle area, you should check out the newly remodeled The Land of Nod store at U Village. The kids have a blast shopping there, even when they don't have a big event going on, and it's a great place to get inspiration, have a seat, and even use the newly remodeled facilities {which are always impeccably clean and well-stocked}. We rounded it off with a few accessories we had already purchased, like the Framework metal wall letters, the Land of Nod BFF bear, and the Lulu tutu bunny that my daughter picked out for the new baby. We still have some more items to order, like the I Think I Canvas mega sorter, and the adorable Abracadabra bunny rabbit lamp.

I don't know about you, but I love nursery planning, especially when the basics are this adorable to build off of. Now I just have to do some small special touches and maybe a few pieces of furniture and we can start our room redo for our little babe.
