Seattle: get your Santa pictures at Northgate Mall

Are you in the Seattle area? If so, you are definitely going to want to head to Northgate Mall, part of the Simon family of shopping centers, before the holiday season is over. While you’re there, find your way to their holiday display by Kay Jewelers to get your pictures taken with Santa. This year was our fifth year seeing the Northgate Mall Santa and we absolutely adore him. Santa and the boysThe Northgate Mall Santa is incredibly popular, but we’ve been so lucky in the past and we continued to be lucky again this year. Even before we got in line for pictures, Santa was waving the kiddos over and talking with them while we were shopping and waiting for my sister and her family to arrive.

But when it was time to get in line it was pretty open and we only stood in line for a few minutes before it was our turn to tell the big guy what they would like for Christmas.
Santa babyAs usual, Santa made magic happen just like he always does. No tears, only laughter and excitement. Just like previous years, the kids adored the Northgate Santa, and he was so sweet to them. He really is an awesome guy, and I’m happy that he’s been the only Santa they have really known. Santa NorthgateHe took time with each of them and asked them what they wanted, asked if they had been good this year, and he definitely got bonus points from mama when he asked if they kept their rooms clean {spolier alert: they don’t}.

We even added my sister’s kiddos into the picture like we always do, which is a fun tradition we started when the kids were little. Then, while we waited for her to get her individual pictures of her boys with Santa, we checked out and planned the rest of our Northgate day. Santa with kidsAfter the annual Santa stop, we always shop Northgate Mall afterwards to cross off everyone on our lists all at once. With three major department stores, a food court, and over 130 stores to choose from, it’s easy to find something for everyone. Every store we stopped in had great sales going on and we had a great experience shopping overall… and it was really awesome to cross off so many people on our lists at once. Northgate shoppingNorthgate Mall is always a fun stop, and the holiday festivities make it even more so. Part of our holiday tradition is to stop into Macy’s to write our annual letters to Santa to place in their Santa Mailbox. It’s always one of the kiddos’ favorite stops and something they look forward to all year.Northgate Santa mailboxWant to find out more about Northgate Mall? 1. These are such special times! You have a wonderful Santa and decor at your mall. I used to be a marketing manager for shopping malls, and was in charge of the Christmas displays. There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes, but it is totally worth it to see families enjoy it and make special memories.
