Enjoy the moment while capturing memories with the LUMIX G7

I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Panasonic. I received product samples as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Every year after CES the emails and messages start rolling in asking me the same question. That question: what kind of camera should I buy? Most years, I will go back and forth with the person asking whether they want a large DSLR or a compact purse camera and then ticking off features and benefits of both. Typically, it is 10-15 messages or so before I give my recommendation based on their answers.

But, this year, it’s really easy on me because the camera I recommend whether you are looking for a small, compact camera or you want a DSLR is the same camera, the Panasonic LUMIX G7. It’s just that versatile. Lumix fall picture

The LUMIX G7 isn’t technically a DSLR, it’s a DSLM where the M=Mirrorless. This tiny camera still has interchangeable lenses like a traditional DSLR, but the LUMIX G7 mirrorless camera just has a smaller and lighter package that makes it super portable. This means it easily fits in my backpack or even my purse to capture memories from all of our adventures. Lumix Space NeedleWe’ve taken the LUMIX G7 on vacation with us four different times, it has gone with us on all of our family adventures, and it has captured our day-to-day for months now. I can honestly say that I love it more each month. Lumix Beaches fountainWhen packing for the Caribbean to attend Social Media on the Sand, the LUMIX G7 was the first thing on my list. With 5 people to pack for as well as gear for babies and kids, a small and lightweight camera is a must, but I didn’t want to miss out on gorgeous pictures of the turquoise water and blue skies. Lumix waves in Turks and CaicosThen, once we got home, it was the camera I grabbed for all of our many events, and since we were double-booked after our vacation, our schedules were jam packed. We ended up jumping from event to event and party to party with little or no downtime in between. Thankfully, the LUMIX G7 made it easy to capture those memories. Kids with Star WarsWith all the hyped up kiddos, I especially loved the DFD Focusing for fast and precise auto focusing and the 4K Ultra HD Video that allows me to take up to 30 frames-per-second. With three 4K Photo Modes {4K Pre-Burst, 4K Start/Stop, and 4K}, I can capture life as it happens, naturally. Then I can then extract the 8-megapixel still image right on the camera monitor for saving. From selecting different picture settings to focusing right where you want, you can use the touch monitor to help you get the best pictures without navigating menus. It makes it easier to enjoy the festivities without struggling with the camera settings. Lumix Seahawks dancing 2After I’ve captured all those amazing images, I can share all of our pictures with the built-in Wi-Fi. I’ve been accused of never sharing all the pictures I take, so I love that the Lumix G7 can share right to my cell phone or tablet on the fly via the Lumix app with our family and friends.
