Last Friday we officially Got The Sillies out when Yo Gabba Gabba Live was in Seattle at the gorgeous Paramount Theatre. Being that this was our third year attending {There’s a Party In My City in 2010 and It’s Time to Dance in 2011}, we pretty much knew what we were in for as far as the show was concerned, but I think having gone so many times, the kids now get even more into the show than the first-timers.
And, if you went to the 6pm show, you probably saw that adorable girl mid-lower floor who was belting out every tune as if the Gabba Gang was depending on her. Yeah, that was my daughter.
I had honestly thought that she would be a little old for the show at almost 5, but I think she just gets more and more fun every year. Even though Yo Gabba Gabba isn’t her absolute favorite show anymore, it does happen to be her 2yo brother’s favorite, so she still gets plenty of the Gabba Gang and still really loves the show.
And, since this is the first year that my son could really get into the show, we were all excited to see how he was going to react seeing his absolute favorite characters right there in front of him dancing to the songs with him. Although he looked a bit shell shocked at first, he quickly got into the show and after that there was no stopping him – literally. He made his way right out to the aisle and danced all through that show, clapping after each number and trying his best to sing along.
Of course, my kids weren’t alone in their love for YGG!, the entire theatre was packed with huge fans, most of them dressed as their favorite characters or at least in a YGG! T-shirt or sweatshirt. Even the littlest fans really got into the show and it felt like everyone was dancing and singing along … and that goes for kids AND adults.
While my daughter had a momentary bout of sadness when she realized her BFF Biz Markie was not in Seattle with the tour, she got over that quickly once the music started up again after intermission. Really, how could you possibly be sad at the world’s happiest event?
Even if your child is just a casual fan of Yo Gabba Gabba {if there is such a thing}, I would highly recommend the live show. It's an amazing experience that you truly will be talking about all year long, and it's hopefully going to be our family tradition for years.

A big thank you to YGG for offering tickets to see the show here in Seattle. As always, all opinions are 100% ours.
Oh my goodness! We really want to take our daughter but they weren’t coming close at all. Hopefully they add more dates and stop by a little closer to home this time! It looks like you had a blast!
I miss YGG!
