The warmer weather is finally here and with the changing of the seasons comes my desire to liven up not only my wardrobe but also my home and get some good spring color in my life. DownEast Basics, a company I have raved about on more than one occasion, has once again stepped in to update my look as well as my home with the inclusion of the new DownEast Home line to their online store.

This was definitely true this last month when I was searching for some clothing and house updates and found everything I was looking for and more. I had originally thought I would just get something small for the house so spruce up after the {long, cold} winter, but then once I started shopping I found the cutest living room accents, a gorgeous top… and then the cutest stuffed dog. What can I say? I love a great deal, and I love their wide range of products that are eclectic and fun.

Once my package arrived, I immediately ripped into it like it was Christmas. My first reaction was that I was shocked by how much bigger the 16” striped Dottie Dog was than I was picturing, a welcome surprise that made him completely irresistible to my children. Although the adorable stuffed dog was promptly claimed by my son, the rest of the shipment was like a little present to me.

I have worn the Road Trip Wrap Top a few times now and it’s become one of my absolute favorite wardrobe pieces. It’s flattering and feminine and classic and trendy all at the same time, which seems impossible, but it’s not. My DownEast Basics Home decorative accents were originally going to be placed in the living room, but then once I saw them in person I realized they fit in just about every room of the house. I thought they went best in the master bedroom for now, but I might re-evaluate once I get the rest of the house spring & summer ready.

As for that adorable dog? It’s currently being snuggled by my son, which is not only heart melting, it’s also just what I was hoping would happen when I was ordering it.
