Great gifts for the DIY fan from Innova Automobile

The next time your check engine light comes on because you only screwed your gas cap on 2 clicks instead of the required 3 clicks {true story}, you can completely avoid the auto mechanic and just clear the light yourself with these tools from Innova Auto. How cool is that?

Monster Jam back in Seattle again

Monster Jam Seattle

I was super excited when the opportunity arose to take my own kids to see Monster Jam’s return to Seattle after a 20 year absence. I had really wanted to take them to see Monster Jam in neighboring towns, but we never were able to make it happen. After seeing the show live this weekend, all I can say is that we should have gone sooner.

Ultimate road trip mobile: the Mitsubishi Outlander 2018

Mitsubishi Outlander in Montana

By now, you most likely know all about my love for the Mitsubishi Outlander. Back in 2015, I was raving about the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, and then in 2016 that love was eclipsed by the Mitsubishi Outlander after the very first drive. The luxuries of the bigger CUV size and the adaptability of the third … Read more

CES 2018 brought the Whoa! {2018 CES recap and trends}

DTYOb8IXcAAp-9DI can officially announce that I survived my first ever CES. I’ve been wanting to attend CES and see all the newest technology as it debuts ever since I started blogging, but it just never worked out since it always takes place in early January just before Sundance. Scheduling so much time away each January gets harder and harder as the kids get older, so having one big event on the calendar was enough for me each January. Thus I settled for consuming all of the articles and info I could from afar each CES season.

But, this year I was invited by CTA to take part in their Key Online Influencer program and I couldn’t refuse. So, I embarked on my first CES journey to conferences unknown and braved heavy rains, leaking roofs, never-ending show floors, and power outages.

What is CES? It’s the largest consumer electronics show in the world, put on each year by CTA. It takes place in Las Vegas in multiple different convention centers and halls, spreading out to the parking lots and into multiple hotel conference rooms. More than 3,900 exhibitors showcased this year in 2.75 million net square feet of exhibit space across Las Vegas – the largest show floor in CES’ 51 year history. New at #CES2018 this year was the Design & Source located in the LVCC, South Plaza featuring global design, sourcing and packaging companies.

Elevate your road trip with the Mazda CX-5

This last week we escaped all of our day-to-day obligations and headed east into the mountains for some much needed family time. It’s been a hard few weeks for my family as we said goodbye to my family matriarch. We have been dealing with the pain of losing a beloved grandma {and great-grandma}, and I … Read more

Sharing our love of Cars 3

For the past few years, we’ve been mega fans of the Disney-Pixar Cars franchise. It started when my son saw the first movie when we was tiny and he was so smitten with things that go and the fact that the films gave backstories and personalities to humanize cars, trucks, and other vehicles. After seeing … Read more

The Mitsubishi Outlander 2017 makes all of our dreams come true

A big thank you to Drive Shop USA for this test driving experience. All opinions are 100% ours. Outlander 2017 family
Do you remember when I made the announcement that the Mitsubishi Outlander was the car for me? Back in 2016 I told you that if I were buying a new automobile, I would buy a Mitsubishi Outlander. It’s now a whole year later and it still rings true. In fact, I’m even more certain about it now than I was back then.

It started with the love of the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and then that love was eclipsed by the Mitsubishi Outlander. I admit I got sold on all the luxuries of the bigger CUV size, but also on the adaptability of the third row seating that is perfect for our on-the-go lifestyle.

One of a kind Jeep Ride Experience at the Seattle International Auto Show

This post is sponsored by FCA US; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

I don’t remember exactly when my 6 year old son became obsessed with cars, and specifically Jeep, but it was somewhere in toddlerhood. Since that time he has reminded me every few weeks that he wants a Jeep when he gets older and then rattles off his preferred specs. I’ve been dying to get him in a newer Jeep for years now, and the perfect opportunity finally presented itself this week thanks to the Seattle International Auto Show. Wp_ss_20161113_0004_(2)[2]
