It’s time to party, Mario Superstars

A big thank you to Nintendo for sending us a box of Mario Party Superstars goodies to check out. We love the game and are so excited to dive into local and online play with family and friends. #Sponsored

Mario Party Superstars

Are you still not able to see family and friends around the globe? If so, I’ve got a new must-have game for you to check out to connect with loved ones from near or far. Mario Party Superstars is a party video game for the Nintendo Switch. This is the 12th installment in the Mario Party series, but this was our very first introduction.

We were shocked to receive this jam-packed box of fun from Nintendo that included everything from the new game all the way to a fun Mario Party Superstars trophy to display. My kids couldn’t have been happier with the turn of events that had them learning a new game for “work”, and I enjoyed playing right along with them.

Party with superstars near or far

Bring the party anytime, anywhere using same-system, local wireless, or online play. Three ways to connect and three ways to challenge your loved ones, whether you are in the same room or across the planet. Join a race or compete in a few minigames, and use stickers to praise or pester fellow players as you race across the board collecting stars.

My kids like playing Mario Party Superstar together and taking turns holding the bragging rights to the Superstar trophy. I love that our play will greatly expand as other friends and family open the game for Christmas. Then we will be able to expand into local wireless and online play, with each player on their own system.

Mario Party Superstar features

The game features five remade boards from the original Nintendo 64 trilogy of games. It also features 100 mini-games as well, which are my kids’ favorite part. The new Superstars can be played with button controls using the Pro Controller or Joy-Con controllers, in the Switch’s handheld mode, or on the Nintendo Switch Lite system.

Race to get the most stars {and sabotage your opponent’s} on boards like the stellar Space Land or the spooky Horror Land. Watch the countdown that unleashes Bowser Coin Beam and hold onto those coins on the Space Land board. You can also slow things down and party at your own pace by suspending a game and picking up right where you left off. The tides can turn quickly in Mario Party, so stay vigilant, partygoers. All modes can be played online, too!

Mario Party Superstars

Mt. Minigames!

Try your hand at a superstar collection of minigames from throughout the Mario Party series. Whether you are saving up coins for stars in board game mode or enjoy one of the 7 modes included in Mt. Minigames, there is nothing quite like being the last one standing in Bumper Balls or the first team making it out of the darkness in Dungeon Duos. All minigames are played with button controls, so you can stick to the Joy-Con™ controller or bust out the Nintendo Switch™ Pro Controller or a Nintendo Switch Lite system.

My kids are competitive by nature, so they love the new mini games that are challenging to master, but really fun to learn. I especially like that even though skill is involved in most games, there’s a good deal of luck, too, which means even my 6-year-old wins fair-and-square sometimes.

Mario Party Superstars

If you have a Mario fan, Mario Party Superstar should be on the list this Christmas.
