Goodbye, Summer. It’s been a good one.

I’m especially sad to say Goodbye Summer this year. As always, it went by way too fast, and I’m just not ready to say goodbye yet. 

Golden hour park dates

Sometimes you’re at the park and you notice that it’s perfectly lit in one of the last golden hours of summer. And, of course you must do a 30 second photo shoot to commemorate it. I’m so sad that it’s the end of summer, the end of no schedules, and the end of lazy days doing whatever we want. But, I also know that it’s important to celebrate the fun we had, and embrace this coming school year.

The cousins even joined into our photo shoot and this is now one of my favorite shots of these five. Ah, glorious summer. We will miss you terribly when we’re waking up early next week and juggling 3 different schools and various schedules.

My girls are wearing one of my most favorite outfits of theirs, two little dresses from Peek Kids that we got on an end of season clearance last summer. I purchased them on the larger side and they are just now fitting really well, so I’m scared they won’t make it until next summer.

My son is wearing a Black Dog shirt we got when visiting Boston that sat in his closet for over a year because it was “tooooooo biiiiiiig” but now he wears every chance he gets even though he’s only grown about an inch since we bought it. Kids, man, they are weird little creatures.
