Oh, Gymboree… you did it again. I went in to buy next year’s matching PJs on clearance {please tell me everyone else does that, too}, and instead walked out with a huge bag full of clothing that I just couldn’t resist during their annual sale. One look at these adorable metallic deer skirts {Black Deer Jaquard Skirt} and I knew my woodland-loving girly-girls just needed them. I thought about pairing the skirts with a fancy shirt, but in the end, I went with comfort and found these super soft waffle-knit shirts {Ivory Striped Sparkle Thermal Tee}. The shirts have a slight metallic undertone that matched perfectly and made the skirts feel more like everyday wear instead of fancy occasion clothing, and the girls love that they are super soft. 

We just went with plain black leggings underneath, but you could do tights or if it’s warm enough you could do just the skirts. Since it’s freezing here, we did thicker leggings to keep them toasty outside. 

If you’re looking to buy the deer skirts, know that they run a little big. I got the size my girls normally wear at Gymboree and had to pin them to keep them up. But, the bonus? More time to wear the metallic deer skirts we all fell in love with!
