101 Dalmatians, one of the most beloved movies of my childhood is arriving for the first time on Digital HD, Blu-ray™ Combo Pack, Disney Movies Anywhere and On-Demand and I couldn't be happier. I've been waiting to share the film with my family for years and have been counting down the days until we could enjoy a family movie night with Pongo, Perdita, and their adorable puppies.
When my firefighter-obsessed son first spied the 101 Dalmatians DVD and Blu-ray combo pack that arrived last week, he immediately declared that he wanted to watch the "fire dog movie". While I made sure to tell him there was no fire theme to the movie, I knew he wouldn't be upset once he saw the film and got to see the adorable puppies on the screen.
As I predicted, there was no mention of fire once the kids got caught up in the excitement of brand new puppies, of the evil Cruella De Vil, and of dognapping. Seeing my son genuinely nervous for the little puppies and scared of what Cruella and her gang might do if the dogs plan to get them back didn't work was priceless and it reminded me again what a great movie it is.
