It's hard to see in pictures, but my little one has the most beautiful strawberry blonde hair. My oldest and I would love to be redheads {sadly, my red isn't au natural… I only have reddish tones in my hair}, so this spring we decided to dye our hair together.
This has been a dream of my oldest for years now but I was initially worried because I'd never dyed her hair before. But, I figure it's just hair… and besides, red fades so quickly that it's almost non-permanent anyway. This girl is so incredibly excited to have matching hair with me. And, she is really popular with her group of friends so everyone wants to fawn all over her hair. The parents of those girls aren't so happy considering that they are now getting badgered about dyeing their hair matching colors. I figure there's only so may years that she's going to actually want to match me, so I'm just going to enjoy it while I can. Speaking of which, I'm absolutely dreading the day these girls of mine stop matching. This last Saturday they ended up in different outfits because of ballet rehearsals and differing schedules and it really made me sad, even though it was obviously temporary. This week my matching girls are wearing a new {to them} outfit from Gymboree that I bought this summer. The dresses are slightly different, but we all agreed the pattern was so dominant that you would hardly notice they don't actually match 100%. We paired the dresses with striped leggings {that also don't actually match, but we had them already and I figure they are close enough}. I love how the colors really pop, and how it makes my daughter's hair pop even more. Want to know how I found all the matching clothing for my girls? It's not as easy as you would think! This is why I created The Complete Guide to Matching Clothing for Baby, Kids, and Siblings. Have a photo shoot coming up and need matching or coordinating clothing? They are precious!
