A big thank you to Smithey for sending the Smithey Ironworks 1 Qt Saucepan. All opinions are 100% ours and no form of compensation was received for this rave review.
It has finally happened – Smithey has entered the saucepan arena. I’ve basically been waiting for this moment for years, hoping that my favorite skillet company would branch out into the pot market. And, now it’s finally happened with the release of the Smithey Ironworks 1 Qt Saucepan and I couldn’t be more excited.

It’s no secret that I love Smithey Ironworks and think they are the best cookware I’ve ever used. If you aren’t familiar with Smithey, they first thing you will notice is their gorgeous vintage styled pans, but what you will love about them is that every pan is made with the highest quality materials. Each of their pans are US made, have a lifetime guarantee, and many of them are engravable for those who want to gift a truly timeless gift to a loved one.

Smithey Ironworks 1 Qt Saucepan
The all-new Smithey Ironworks 1 Qt Saucepan is set to be your go-to small pot. It comes with a glass lid and is perfectly sized for sauces, gravies, and more – basically, anything that requires a small pot. Think side dishes like baked beans, potatoes au gratin, and fried green beans. Once you are done cooking, the lid locks in warmth so you can serve hot dishes right to the table. It’s a perfect addition to your Smithey collection and an essential part of your weeknight meals as well as fancy spreads.

Like all of Smithey’s cookware, this saucepan comes pre-seasoned right out of the box with 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil that is applied by hand without any chemical coatings of any kind. To get started cooking, it is recommended to begin with rich sauces and dishes that have lots of butter or fats. With Smithey’s signature polished interior finish, the 1 qt saucepan is easy to cook with and clean since it is naturally non-stick and free of chemical coatings.

Unlike rough cast iron, which allows food to get stuck in the crevices, polished cast iron like Smithey has a smooth surface that practically wipes clean. Even though many will tell you not to, with Smithey pans you can use soap, which I love.

Smithey products are designed to be used wherever there is heat – from grill, stovetop, campfires, ovens and more. You can cook on all sources, from gas and fire to induction and electric, and you won’t have to worry you might scratch your stovetop. The new Smithey Ironworks 1 Qt Saucepan is no exception and can be used on the outdoor grill or bonfire, but I love to use it inside over the stovetop or in the oven.
How to display your Smithey Ironworks collection
Just look at my new copper wall for displaying all of my beloved Smithey collection. This wall was quite the labor of love. My husband started by reinforcing the drywall as he wanted to make sure the wall and hooks could support the weight of the Smithey pans. I tracked down the copper tile to match our backsplash, which was much more difficult than I thought it would be considering it had been discontinued by the manufacturer years ago.

But, we persisted with our vision and now we have a gorgeous display for all of our prized cookware. It is now the #1 most complimented spot in our home, with everyone from adults to small children marveling at the display as they walk into the kitchen. Sure, we could have hid the beautiful Smithey pans in a cupboard or something, but where’s the fun in that?
