I was not paid to write about the BlendJet 2 Portable Blender and accessories I was gifted – I just love it and wanted to share one of my new favorite items.
Remember a few years ago when I was raving about the BlendJet 2 Portable Blender? It is still one of my most-grabbed small kitchen appliances – not just for drinks but also for dips, dressings, and so much more. It’s funny because I mostly use it at home, but even so it’s just so much more convenient than a full-size blender.
I think of how I was the holdout in us getting the BlendJet 2 and I laugh now. Silly me, I thought the fact that we had a huge blender with all the accessories meant that the last thing we needed was a smaller, more portable one without all the attachments. But, I don’t have any problem admitting when I’m wrong, and I was definitely wrong in this case.

I know I said that the BlendJet 2 didn’t have attachments, and that’s technically true, but they do now have *accessories*. And, if you know me, you know that I love *accessories*.
BlendJet is rather new to the accessories game, but they have made up for it in terms of quality and quantity. The BlendJet 2 comes with a 16oz jar {2oz larger than the original BlendJet} but they also make a new large size {20oz} and XL size jar {32oz} for more blending capacity. This is top of my wish list as it would make it so much easier when I’m making two smoothies at once.
They also have their own recipe books well as insulated sleeves and a tote to keep blender and contents cool. They even have larger size sleeves for their large and extra-large jars, which I love. Now you can blend up a smoothie with dairy and keep it cool much longer than without insulation, which makes it perfect for on-the-go.

As much as I love all the new accessories, my absolute favorite is the newest accessory. Enter the leak-proof Orbiter Drinking Lid, which solves one of my biggest complaints with the BlendJet 2: drinking out of the open, threaded top of the blender bottle. With the new Orbiter Drinking Lid, you can easily slide the cover out of the way and drink your smoothie or blended drink without splashing and then close it up. No more having to unscrew and screw on the top over and over, and now you can sip easier on the go.
The Obiter Drinking Lid is designed to be opened with just one thumb {or finger of choice}, which makes it easy to close and open on the go. It has a really cool orbiting design that allows you to slide the cover out of the way, and all the way around if you’d like. Big enough to sip a thick smoothie out of, or you can add a straw if you prefer.
BlendJet calls the Orbiter lid “self-cleaning” because you can easily clean it just by spinning the lid and rinsing. Not sure if I would call it self-cleaning, but it sure is incredibly easy. But, I wouldn’t expect any less from the people who made the “self-cleaning blender”.
Why BlendJet 2?
Aside from being portable, the BlendJet 2 has some really cool features in its own right. Unlike traditional blenders with their blades in the center, BlendJet 2 has stainless steel blades that are offset from center. This allows it to have a “tornado effect” that helps keep the ingredients moving far better than other blenders. They call this TurboJet Technology, and it’s pretty awesome.
You can even use as a food processor with the Pulse Mode. With a double-press of the power button, your BlendJet 2 portable blender transforms into a powerful food processor that pulverizes veggies, fruits, nuts and more. BlendJet 2 is also water-resistant, so you don’t have to worry about getting liquid in the USB-C port. If you accidentally submerge your BlendJet 2 in the sink or pool, it will be fine. And the included cable is reversible, so there’s no wrong way to plug it in.
