Spooky swizzle sticks and chicken sliders for Halloween

Halloween treats

I love Halloween so much. There’s something really fun about not having any set “rules” to follow or expectations that makes it really fun to host parties and entertain guests. Here’s two super quick snacks you can make that will disappear quickly at your next Halloween get together: the spider swizzle stick and the spooky chicken slider.Halloween chicken sandwich

Take these easy chicken sliders made with fake dollar store teeth that are so fun to serve, and even more delicious to eat. By adding in marinara sauce for a spooky effect, and then stuffed olives for a whimsical touch, these little sliders appeal to all ages, and are big crowd pleasers at Halloween parties and get togethers. And, because they are so simple to put together, you can literally do it in a few minutes even if guests catch you by surprise.

I also love our Halloween “swizzle sticks” we created using chicken nuggets, pretzel sticks, and BBQ sauce with a little drop of black food coloring. Pop them on a skewer or a pre-purchased swizzle stick, and they are perfect for adorning your drinks and making your tablescape come together.chicken nugget spiders on drink

The best part about them is that they are a great way of encouraging kids to eat a little bit even as they are busy playing. I know my kids aren’t the only ones who go to parties and play so hard that they forget to eat and then are “starving” on the way home. By encouraging them to eat fun little treats that are will fill them up, we can hopefully avoid the end-of-party hunger pains. Chicken Nugget Spiders up closeI love how fun they look on my table, and how quickly they disappear as guests arrive.
