Looking back, I can clearly remember the time I first saw The Little Mermaid. It marks a point in my life in which I became obsessed with merfolk, deep sea creatures, and singing about wanting legs. So, of course, I was dying to watch it with my own children.

We received a copy of the film last week and I couldn't wait to snuggle up with the kiddos to watch it together. We ended up watching it when my daughter had to miss school last week with a cold and it was the perfect diversion to get her mind off all the fun things she was missing at school. I knew I was in trouble when it was over and she looked up at me and said "This is the best sick day EVER!"
