We had the very best summer here. We went on vacations, saw a weekly movie, explored as a family, and I even snuck in a few adventures with just the kids and I while daddy-O was at work. We didn’t have the same struggles we had last summer with taking all day to get out of the house, and we even found a new groove with our never-ending playdates so they didn’t leave my house a disaster and everyone in bad moods.
All in all, it was amazing. I’m sad it’s coming to an end, but I’m also really excited to see what this next year holds for us. The kids are excelling in their new school roles and I know in my heart that we are doing the very best we can by them. If we see the same growth we saw this past year, then we’re in for a really fun time. I’m especially excited to see what this year holds for my little guy. So, on that note, I say goodbye, summer. You were good to us, and yet you flew by way too quick for my liking. I will miss you, and I will long for you all year. And, I will be positively giddy when you roll around again and we get another magical summer like this year.
What the kiddos are wearing:
On the girls – Oshkosh B’Gosh t-shirts that read “This is what an amazing sister looks like” purchased last fall, Peek tiered skirt with soft waist from last summer, and Yo Gabba Gabba Vans circa 2012.
On my boy – Faux leather jacket from Urban Republic {origins unknown – nobody remembers where it came from but we’re all sad it’s getting too small}, Denizen jeans from Target {seriously, the SOFTEST jeans ever}, and Converse hightops.
Want to know how I found all the matching clothing for my girls and their friends? It’s not as easy as you would think, especially for younger kids, which is why the two younger siblings has slightly different dresses in the same pattern and color scheme. Want to find out more?
