These days, I know more of us are more worried than ever about what’s in the air around us. You see all the studies focusing on air quality and viral load and it’s easy to question everything and never breathe deep again. But, aside from wearing filtering masks 100% of the time, what else can you do? Well, you can look for a home-use air purifier. But, do those air purifiers really work?
I can tell you with absolute certainty that they do. Remember when I was using a petri dish and testing air quality in our home? Chances are that you don’t, because everyone thought I was crazy when I was testing ours. But, that was before there was a global pandemic raging. Not so silly now, huh?
Using a simple petri dish that we could watch bacteria grow on and multiply, we saw just how bad indoor air can be. After seeing the results from our air before an air purifier and then after, I am definitely a believer.
So, how do air AirFree purifiers really work?
What makes AirFree different than other air purifiers is that it uses heat to eliminate allergens and other harmful microorganisms, instead of just filtering it. That means that there are no negative byproducts, like ozone, generated in the filtration process.
Airfree’s exclusive technology works by eliminating microorganisms and allergens, destroying them in a fraction of a second. Depending on the model, between 14,000 and 20,000 litres of air pass through the Airfree device every hour, treating all the air in the room in a very short space of time.
The process works in much the same way as sterilizing water by boiling it. When water is boiled, the microorganisms it contains are eliminated. In similar fashion, Airfree continually draws in air from the room, heating it to over 400 ºF and instantly sterilizing it. The purified air is then cooled inside the device before being returned to the room.
The AirFree Onix 3000 Air Purifier
The AirFree Onix 3000 is the perfect tool for keeping your indoor air fresh and free of airborne contaminants. This compact AirFree air sterilizer uses its patented air sterilizing chamber to incinerate unwanted irritants leaving your room filled with pure, clean air. Best of all, this AirFree air sterilizer uses less electricity than a 50-watt light bulb.
The Onix may be powerful, but it comes in a small package. At just 10 1/2″ H x 8 1/2″ dia and weighing in at 3 1/2 lbs, the Onix makes those rolling units look like behemoths. Place it on a low shelf or right on the floor for maximum filtering capabilities. The Onix 3000 air purifier works great in a variety of spaces, such as dens, kitchens, classrooms, laboratories, boats, and any other area up to 650 square feet.
The AirFree Onix 3000 air purifier also features:
- Silent Operation: Air is circulated using simple convection, which means no noisy fans. As the heated air rises through the air sterilizer, cooler air is drawn and the result is a completely natural and silent method for circulating air.
- Portability: Weighing only 3.3 pounds and less than a foot tall, the AirFree Onix 3000 air sterilizer can easily be moved wherever you need cleaner air.
- Anti-Stress Light: A dimmer-controlled anti-stress light can be used as a night light or turned off completely.
- User-Friendly Warning Sensor: The AirFree Onix 3000’s light will blink intermittently if the air purifier is installed incorrectly.
Filter-free fresh air
Many air purifiers have filters that need to be cleaned and replaced, and there are very few that don’t. Airfree Air Purifiers are one of the few on the market that are filter-free. If you’ve ever had one with a replaceable filter, you were probably like me and never changed it, right?
The AirFree Onix makes life even easier because it has little to no maintenance required and no expensive replacement parts. Airfree Air Purifiers are filter-free and utilize a patented Thermodynamic Sterilizing System {TSS} technology that safely and effectively kills airborne allergens like pollen, dander, dust mites, viruses, bacteria, mold and contaminated air.
By using heat to destroy airborne allergens and contaminated air, Airfree draws in microbiological antigens and kills them with 400° F heat. Sanitized air is cooled and recirculated into a room, providing a healthy breathing environment without producing ozone or the need for filter replacement. In fact, independent tests in Swedish laboratories found that these AirFree Onix 3000 air sterilizers actually reduce the presence of ozone by 26%! All you have to do is switch the device on and leave it to get on with the job.
So, do AirFree air purifiers really work?
Airfree is highly effective and has won many awards for its efficiency. The AirFree Onix air purifier eliminates up to 99% of airborne viruses, mold, and germs. When placed in a room’s optimal location, the device uses natural convection to silently draw airborne particles into its patented ceramic heating chamber where they are destroyed.
I bet you are thinking that this air purifier must sound like a jumbo jet, but what if I told you that this patented technology is completely silent. So silent you won’t even know if it’s on or not, so thank goodness it has a nice blue light to let you know it’s on and working.
We had our AirFree Air Purifier for only a week and I swear our air quality was not only noticeably better, but my seasonal allergies had also improved dramatically. Ever since we started using it, I feel the whole family is sleeping better, there are less lingering odors, and I know we are all sneezing less.
If you or your family have seasonal or year-round allergies that have to do with dust, dirt or dander, I would highly recommend trying out an AirFree air purifier to see just how awesome your indoor air quality can be.
Thank you, very helpful article!
