A big thank you to Hurom for sharing one of the Hurom slow juicers for review. To say we are fans is quite the understatement.
Are YOU getting enough fruits and vegetables each day? If you’re my daughter, the answer is definitely yes. But, if you’re my son, the answer is probably no. When I first heard about slow juicing, I didn’t think much of it. I’d tried juicing in the past, and got fed up with how much waste there was in making a batch of juice. I would rock through an entire fruit bowl and have a half of a cup of juice to share between us all, and that just felt so incredibly wasteful. Not to mention the cleanup, which never seemed worth it for the amount of juice we produced.
But, then I really read up on Hurom slow juicers and realized that I just never tried the right kind of juicer. The Hurom slow juicers have a unique slow squeeze process that allows the auger to extract every single drop of juice out of your produce. This leaves you with a high yield and minimal pulp, even for an easy clean model. Oh yes, I said easy clean.

If you’ve ever juiced before, you know that traditional juices require a strainer which collects minerals over time, which are incredibly hard to scrub. The H70 utilizes a revolutionary mechanism that minimizes pulp – even without a strainer. Instead, it has a strainer-like function embedded within the chamber and the two-part auger meshes together to strain out low pulp juice.
I know, I know, this sounds impossible to clean, right? That’s what I thought, too, before I got to try one out.
Easy to clean, really

The individual parts all detach from each other for easy rinsing, which saves time and energy. Basically, it’s bare minimum cleaning for high-quality juice.

Now, before you go thinking it’s “no clean”, I will warn you that there is some disassembling and rinsing that you need to do after the juicing process. If not, you will still find yourself scrubbing the different parts if the juice residue dries. But, if you rinse the juicer quickly, you will find that cleanup only takes a few minutes and then you can store it away for the next batch.

The Hurom H70 has a large self-feeding hopper with a larger opening, and a larger inlet to add more ingredients… which you can do while the juicer is still running. This larger hopper size makes it easy to load large amounts of produce at one time, and therefore produce large amounts of juice. This makes it ideal for families or for large batches of juice if you pre-make them for the week ahead.

The Hurom H70 is the perfect balance of size and capability and Hurom recommends it “for anyone who’s getting serious about their health but needs a juicer that fits perfectly on any countertop”. I was shocked when I realized just how large juicers are, which is why we purged our first juicer model. It basically took up an entire shelf in our cupboard, which wasn’t worth the space it took up.

But the Hurom H70 is a great compromise where it can make large batches of juice, but has a small footprint that can fit right on the counter. It is rather tall, so it most likely won’t fit into an upper cupboard without disassembling the base from the hopper and chamber, which is how we have it stored.

I love the H70 for the larger size and the easy clean features, but I also love how quiet it is. Compared to traditional juicers or blenders, the H70 is incredibly quiet. It’s not noiseless by any means, but it’s quiet enough that the entire house doesn’t need to get in on the juicing noise. This makes it great for those that juice in the early morning or later into the evening to make batches for the next day.
