High Sierra Sport Luggage

Traveling as a family is something that is extremely important to me and something I hope we can continue to do more as our family grows. Unfortunately, traveling with kids and all their gear is sometimes difficult, especially when we are going somewhere that relies heavily on a public transportation system. When we are going overseas or to large metropolitan areas, it often means that what we pack into becomes just as important as what we pack inside.

When it was just hubby and I jet setting, we would pack all of our gear into our hiking packs and not have to worry about dragging wheeled luggage down steps, over cobblestone streets and in and out of trains. However, children’s gear is bigger and bulkier than all of hubby’s and my gear put together, so we found that we needed to bring roomy wheeled luggage in order to accommodate all the necessities. Wheeled luggage is awesome in airports and along smooth, flat surfaces, but much more difficult in uneven terrain or when you need both hands. With its 7,980 cubic inch capacity and three ways to comfortably carry it, it really is the most versatile suitcase for just about any sort of family travel.

I love that I have the option of wheeling it, carrying it like a traditional duffel bag, or going completely hands free and wearing it like a backpack. For a family that covers all sorts of terrain on our travels, the High Sierra Sport 3-in-1 duffel is really the only way to go. Besides being versatile and easy to carry, wheel, or cart around, the 32 inch High Sierra Sport bag is packed full of features that make the quality and versatility of the bag apparent at first glace.

The piping is all made from a reflective fabric for extra safety and the high quality Duraweave exterior is not only super cool looking, it’s also eye catching enough to make your luggage easy to spot and claim after your flight. The high density foam structure of the bag is great because it doesn’t add unnecessary weight to the pack, but still keeps the bag’s shape and helps protect your gear like a hard sided case does. To make it easy to transport and store, the bag has SURE-GRIP handles that lay flat when not in use as well as a molded foot of the duffel that allows it to stand upright on its own as well as becoming an extra handle when lifting. When you’re ready to roll, it is exceptionally easy to wheel away with the recessed telescoping aluminum handle that locks in its extended position. However, if you’re looking at a flight of stairs, you will be really happy to find that hidden back compartment that holds the secret padded backpack straps.

Once you open the duffel, you find a massive main compartment that can expand an extra 2.5” for extra stuff you find along your journey. The upper and lower compartments can be separated by a roll up divider to help keep gear organized, or you can tie it back to create one large area to pack into. It also has an easy access drop-down bottom compartment that can hold shoes or bulky gear, helping keep your stuff clean and organized no matter where you’re headed.
