A big thank you to FANY for sending the FANY Luna Smartwatch for review. I was excited to switch to something slim and practical just in time for all of our summer activities.
I resisted a smartwatch for so many years because I just didn’t like the way that they look – so bulky and masculine. But, I was thrilled when my kids got me an Apple watch 6 years ago because 95% of my dresses don’t have pockets {don’t even get me started on that topic} and I really wanted to track my walks without carrying my phone in my hand. Even though I loved the functionality of the Apple watch a lot, I didn’t love the way it looked on my wrist and I definitely didn’t love the way it looked in pictures. So, when my Apple watch battery life started failing, I decided I wanted to go with something much smaller for my next smartwatch.

When I found the FANY Luna Smartwatch, I was so excited. The Luna is a solution for women who want a stylish smartwatch that combines health, fitness, and fashion. And, like the Apple watch, you can still customize the watch with multiple different faces from their watch face market or you can make your own using your own photos from your phone. FANY smartwatches for women have both health and fitness tracking features, ability to see notifications from apps you select, and many different modules to choose from to customize your watch.
What the FANY Luna Smartwatch tracks
The Luna smartwatch for women turns this tracking into visible data at a glance, showing you all your workouts and trends in terms of health tracking. I love that these are available with a quick swipe so it can help you keep an eye on things all day long. The emotion and stress can inform you of your stress level and emotional state, and the heart rate and blood oxygen monitors constantly monitor health on a daily basis. While the FANY Luna is not a medical device, being able to see trends is super important to me and can help me figure out what’s going on so I can speak to my doctor directly about concerns.
Health tracking: supports sleep, heart rate, stress, emotions, and menstrual cycle monitoring to help improve self-care and daily habits.
Fitness companion: 110+ workout modes including running, yoga, and strength training, with full tracking of performance to help you reach 10,000 steps, fitness goals, and weight loss targets.

Why go with the FANY Luna Smartwatch
Not only does it track all of this and more, the Luna is a modern and stylish watch that doesn’t look super tech-y or bulky. Instead, it is much more fashionable, lightweight, and slimmer than other smartwatches and is also more comfortable to wear. The Luna is the winner of the Good Design Gold Award in the U.S. and France 2025 {awarded to only 5% of products worldwide}. The Luna weighs just 0.84 oz and has a classic round shape and a much thinner band. In comparison to a large, square smartwatch with a thick strap it feels almost invisible on the wrist.

Whether it’s the new silicone models {Morning Pink, Dream Purple, Cloud Cream, and Orchid Purple}, or the leather-strap models {Mocha Brown, Passion Red, and Moonlight Grey}, it blends seamlessly into your everyday looks. From work to an elegant dress for afternoon tea and everything in between, including casual wear for a stroll or an evening workout.

What the Luna is not
To be clear, the FANY Luna Smartwatch is not meant to be an Apple watch replacement. There are multiple things the Luna cannot do that you might miss from the Apple watch, for instance responding to text messages from the watch itself or taking a call as it comes in. Instead, the FANY watch will give you the notification of the call or message, but you cannot act on it from the watch itself.

There are also quite a few apps that are also not compatible with the FANY that might be a deal breaker for you so you should definitely look into that as you consider this for your replacement. I miss having the Apple wallet on the watch, but that’s not a huge deal to me. I definitely miss the watch being able to recognize when I’m working out and reminding me to turn it on since I almost always forget until I’m about a half mile into my walk or deep into the workout and am working on remembering to hit the exercise button.
For me, the only real change I would like to see is being able to respond to messages via voice and taking calls, which would all require a microphone. If they could add in the feature that helps you find your phone, well, that would be amazing. I really do miss being able to ping my phone as well.
Why we love the FANY Luna Smartwatch
For those who want a smartwatch that connects to your phone and can help you see notifications coming in, help track your fitness levels and health, and control your phone in many ways, the FANY is amazing. I love that I can use it for many of my must-haves, like the timer I use to remember when to move the laundry, the exercise tracking so I can track my walks and workouts, and the remote shutter for taking self-portraits with my camera {although I do sometimes miss being able to see what the camera sees from my wrist}. While there are trade-offs in switching, the biggest deal for me is that I actually don’t mind wearing the Luna all day and night because it’s not a huge smartwatch with thick band. I love that the Luna Smartwatch is simple, practical, affordable, and it still manages to look ultra-sleek fashionable at the same time.

Since I’m a busy mom and I’m incredibly clumsy, I love that the Luna is water resistant and can handle splashes and spills with no problem. It’s made for all-day comfort, even while working out, with skin-friendly silicones or leather for their bands, depending on which model you choose. Both of their options are chosen specifically to not irritate your skin even while working out or sleeping.

Speaking of sleeping, you can actually wear it all day and then keep it on for sleeping because it has an amazing 7-day battery life. I know my Apple watch had features for sleep, but I literally never used them once because I needed to charge it every night so I therefore couldn’t wear it as well. Now I can wear my FANY Luna Smartwatch for almost a week at a time and not worry about charging it. It will alert you when the battery is getting low and you can pop it on to charge while you shower and get ready for the day, and then you’re good to go for almost another week.
The one thing I would change about the watch in regard to the battery is that the battery life is not visible on the main screen and you have to swipe down from the top. The screen that swipes from the top shows a full battery with options to turn on power-saving mode, but the battery life is the smaller battery at the top of that screen. I would love if the battery life was visible on the watch face, or if the swipe down screen had the battery life on the bigger battery because I somehow missed the smaller notification multiple times because I was looking at all of the settings instead of the top of the screen.

You can also find the battery health in the settings as well, so there are multiple ways to see how much battery you have left so you don’t have a watch that dies on you. Overall, it’s a rather small complaint in the scheme of things not having the battery notification on the watch face, especially since it’s easy to get the information once you realize where to look.
Speaking of the watch face, I love that you can “shop” their free watch face market and change up the look of your smartwatch in minutes. I adore the fact that you can make your own customized watch face using your own pictures and then choose font color and more.

If you’re looking for a watch that you can wear every day to get call/message alerts, weather, alarms, customizable watch faces and more all paired with a 7-day battery life and water resistance, the FANY Luna is the perfect choice.
