Like most kids, my kids would eat pizza every day if I let them. Since the term “pizza” is so incredibly ambiguous, I typically make them a “pizza” variation of sorts every few weeks. Sometimes we make our own dough for crust, sometimes we use wheat pitas, English muffins, or pre-made crusts, and occasionally we get a frozen pizza as a treat. And, as varied as the crusts are, the toppings are even more so and they can change depending on our moods or what we have to get rid of in the fridge. Basically, as long as you call it pizza, it will get eaten.For us, a pizza oven actually makes a lot of sense because it allows us to take pizza to a whole new level. As soon as I saw the Black+Decker 5 Minute Pizza Oven & Snack Maker, I was already sold. I could take something that was already easy to make and make it even easier. 5 minutes to bake a fresh or frozen 12" pizza easy. That’s about the length of time I typically spend looking for matching shoes each morning. So, to make dinner in 5 minutes? Amazing, I tell you.

Dine at home with Foster Farms
It wasn’t that long ago that I thought all frozen chicken you could buy at a store was more or less the same. Dip those suckers in ranch and the kids will eat them up, so why bother shopping around? Just grab whatever is on sale and call it good.
But then I decided to give Foster Farms Crispy Strips a try, and I realized that there actually was something to the “amazing chicken” as they claim in their recent ad campaigns. You know the ones that feature chickens clucking along to the catchiest songs known to man? Not surprisingly, my kiddos are seriously obsessed with these commercials, so I’ve been forced to watch these more times than I care to admit, sometimes on repeat.

DIY snowflake window cling craft for kids {inspired by the movie Frozen}
My kids are fully obsessed with the new Frozen movie from Disney. You may remember my post about the press pre screening we were invited to, but what you don't know is that we loved it so much that we actually went back to the theater that same week and watched it again. That's a lot of love.
Both of them are dying for the movie to come out and are broken hearted about the fact that it's going to be months until we can watch it whenever we want at home, so we've decided to bring some Frozen fun home while we wait. First up on the list was doing a craft I've been wanting to do for a while: snowflake window clings.
To make DIY Snowflake Window Clings you will need:
- Tulip Glitter or Puffy Paint
- Wax Paper
- Snowflake pattern from the Disney Frozen site

There’s a special spot in my heart for the first big animated Disney movies of my childhood. I grew up with Ariel and Belle, and all things princess. Their stories shaped my own games and imaginative play of my youth and their songs still get stuck in my head to this day.
But as much as I love The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, seeing Disney's Frozen this week made me long for a childhood with Anna and Elsa instead. I’m very grateful that this movie is that pivotal one for my daughter and I get to relive that with her with a movie I truly love.
There’s something very, very special about Disney's Frozen. I knew I was going to like it from the first preview, but it wasn’t even two minutes in when I knew this was my absolute favorite Disney movie to date.
In fact, it is one of my favorite movies, ever. It’s that good.
Maybe it’s the sister theme, which hit home for me with 3 sisters whom I’m very close to, or maybe it was the laugh out loud humor, or the heart that went into each and every scene. Or maybe it’s all of that and more.

Why I do frozen vegetables
This year I have been making an effort to eat healthy and cook more meals at home. I am relatively new to the whole concept of cooking but that doesn't stop me from trying. I have never been a master chef, nor am I overly motivated to go experiment on my dinner, but I am … Read more
