Relax, there’s still time to score the perfect gift thanks to the Kmart Fab 15 Toys

Are you still shopping for the holidays? Yeah, me too. This year has been really hard for me to cross off my list while still working and doing all the school and family obligations, and I'm way behind with just days to go.

The fact that I'm running behind isn't really the surprise, it’s who is still left on my list that is the crazy part. It's not the usual hard to buy for group of teenagers and those that have everything, it's the kids. You know, the normally easy to buy for kids that I usually have gifts for back in June. Those kids are still on my list. Every time I’ve gone to shop for them, I’ve started doubting my choices worrying that it’s not the perfect gift and I've left with nothing. Kmart shoppingAnd, it’s not just nieces and nephews that I’m second guessing myself on. Would you be surprised that I still don't even have Santa presents for my own children? Yep, it's true. Santa might be a big 'ole letdown this year because of my lack of planning and the fact that I've been struggling to find where to start looking for the vague gift ideas they gave the big guy. Are you scared for me?

Don't worry, because Kmart is coming to my rescue, again. Kmart boasts ridiculously awesome toys and games for kids of all ages and stages, and that means that I can find everything I need in one place. But, what if I get overwhelmed when I walk in the toy section and see all those awesome choices? That’s where the Kmart Fab 15 Holiday Toy List comes in.

Kmart toysThe Kmart Fab 15 Holiday Toy List was released earlier in the holiday season and it features the ultimate toys that kids really, really want for the holidays. This list provides parents and gift-givers like me with insight into the season's hottest trends, even for us stressed out last-minute shoppers.Kmart-Fab-15-Infographic_V3p-e1443036651375 (3)These aren't just a random collection of toys, this is a carefully curated list of the best toys based on industry trends, input from kids and parents, and a long history of more than 50+ years offering the toys that resonate with different ages and stages. And, as if experts, parents, and Kmart themselves are not experts enough, this year's list of toys has even been tested by Kmart's first-ever Kid Toy Advisory Board – a select group of super lucky kids of Kmart employees who are serving as toy experts and holiday toy consultants.

The best of the best toys that pass all of these tests are then compiled in a veritable shopping list of both Kmart-exclusive toys and hot, best-selling brands. This year’s list definitely doesn’t disappoint and it has a little something for everyone – even those of us who are kids at heart.

Playskool Sesame Street Play All Day Elmo by Hasbro. We were lucky enough to get one of these awesome Elmos at Social Media on the Sand this year, and it is as great as they say it is. Even though it’s marketed towards the younger kids, my son still the Play All Day Elmo and I love that it helps him get his energy out by playing active games.

Hot Wheels® Ultimate Auto Garage by Mattel®. Anyone that knows my son would basically pick the Ultimate Garage as the perfect toy for him. He’s got quite the collection of Hot Wheels and they are some of his absolute favorite toys that he comes back to over and over again.
Imaginext Ultra T-Rex by Fisher-Price®. What’s better than a T-Rex that’s almost as tall as you? Nothing, that’s what. Seriously, look how cool {and BIG} this box is! 2 1/2 feet tall, and super cool, this would make any dino lover thrilled! Imaginext Ultra T-RexPaw Patroller by Spin Master™. This was the one toy my son asked for by name this year as opposed to vague descriptions of toy cars. He’s very into Ryder and his team of pups, and this will be his first Paw Patrol toy, which I cannot wait to see him open.
Disney Frozen Sing Along Elsa Doll by Jakks Pacific®. Frozen fever hasn’t cooled at our house and the kids are still obsessed with playing with Frozen toys as well as singing songs from the movie at the top of their lungs. Why not combine both and let them play and sing all day long?
VTech® Kidizoom® Action Cam. This year, I got a GoPro and my daughter was basically convinced it was for her so she could take crazy kid videos {Side note: No one gets a 7 year old a GoPro, kid}. But, you know what I actually would get for her? The VTech Kidizoom Action Cam that is kid-tough and priced right so I could justify giving it to a child to care for. Kidizoom action cam

• Star Wars Signature Lightsaber by Hasbro®. While you can’t really go wrong with any Star Wars toy this year, there are definitely some that are hotter than others. Hottest of the bunch are the Signature Lightsabers, which are technically for kids, but I’ve seen grown men freak out over.
Zoomer Kitty with Toy Mouse by Spin Master™ {Kmart exclusive}. My daughter wants a robotic pet SO BAD. She would basically take any robot pet, but the one that I would like her to have is the Zoomer. I got to play with the Zoomer pet at BlogHer two years ago, and it is just so incredibly cool the way it moves and interacts. Since kitties are a big deal around here, Zoomer Kitty would be perfect for the kiddos. 20150914_k_Fab15_ZoomerKitty_v4-qm-$cq_width_700$MONOPOLY Here & Now by Hasbro®. Oh, how I love MONOPOLY. I can’t wait until my kids graduate from the Junior versions and can buy versions like the Here & Now set that is part game and part geography lesson.
Monster High® Boo York Floatation Station™ with Astronova™ Doll by Mattel®. I can’t even count the number of Monster High birthday party invites that came home with my daughter last year. Even though it’s been popular for years, it shows no signs of slowing down and the toys get cooler each year. The new Boo York Floatation Station™ with Astronova™ Doll is an awesome WOW gift for the Monster High fan on your list. Boo York Monster HighHoliday Auburn Barbie™ 2015 Doll by Mattel® {Kmart exclusive}. Barbie got very big at our house this last year when my daughter got all my old Barbie dolls, and I love it. I can’t wait until she can be trusted with collectibles, because she would love this gorgeous doll! 2015 Holiday BarbieFurReal Friends Star Lily the Unicorn by Hasbro®. It’s a robotic unicorn, people. A unicorn robot. Even I kind of want to play with it.
NERF® Zombie Strike Doominator by Hasbro®. This would make my husband’s and my son's short list. Imagine how much fun it would be to target shoot with your kiddo using the Doominator. That’s some good quality bonding right there.NERF Zombie Strike Doominator Hulk Smash RC Vehicle by Jakks Pacific®. The classic RC car has gotten quite the upgrade since my youth. These new cars go faster, have more controlling options, and are seriously cool looking. Plus, they smash.

• LEGO® Friends Pop Star Show Stage. LEGO is one of the few toys that both kids love equally, so I adore all these new sets in the LEGO Friends series that appeal to both kids. My son and my daughter both have the Pop Star Show Stage on their list. LEGO friendsNow, how’s that for an all-encompassing last-minute list?

K_091315_Toys-Fab15_Collage2-qm-$cq_width_250$We headed out to Kmart so I could shop for picture frames I could fill with photographs to gift to my aunt, and I basically finished shopping in that one trip once I shooed the kids off with their dad so I could buy the frames as well as toys galore. Santa covered? Check! Big presents from us to the kids? Check! Presents for my nieces and nephews? Check! A surprise photo gallery for my aunt? Check.

We’re talking a full cart of Santa presents and gifts for all the kids left on our list. A few items the store was out of, so I went ahead and ordered them online where they will still get here in time. How's that for efficiency?Kmart homewares sectionJust like that, Christmas stress is GONE!

  2. My youngest grandson would have loved the action cam but we could not find it. We ended up with the VTech Kidizoom Camera and he absolutely loved it. Took 350 pictures the first night!
